For this role, I advise the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board (ODOB). This can include matters of clinical, ethical, or cultural competency, or leading working groups or projects to research areas on behalf of the Board. I also write annual workforce reports, which details the distribution and tone of the dispensing optician and optometrist professions. 

This role involves interpreting medical and optometric records for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), to advise the Senior Medical Team of issues that may be of aeromedical significance. I also work with the CAA to help train and upskill optometrists so that they can conduct CAA eye examinations as part of a aviation medical examination. 

I have served as an Expert Witness in numerous court cases, some of which required me to present and defend my report in court. These included conducting full eye examinations and scene examinations, then detailing the likihood of something either being seen or not seen. Additionally, I have acted as an expert in non-court adjudication and mediation cases.

I work with many other agencies, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, charity groups, and other Regulatory Authories.
